Epic’s Software Expands Patient Access and Strengthens Local Care
New Roads, LA – Pointe Coupee General Hospital is proud to announce a new partnership with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge to bring the advanced Epic electronic medical record system to the Pointe Coupee Parish community. Epic, one of the nation’s leading healthcare information platforms, securely connects patient information across hospitals, clinics, and providers — helping ensure that each patient receives seamless, personalized care close to home.
As part of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS), Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center is extending access to its integrated Epic software to Pointe Coupee General Hospital. This collaboration will bring state-of-the-art resources to the people of Pointe Coupee Parish while keeping care rooted in the local community.

With Epic, patients at Pointe Coupee General Hospital will benefit from improved scheduling, easier registration, and stronger coordination of care across specialties. The platform also offers the MyChart patient portal, where patients can schedule appointments, message their providers, request prescription refills, and view lab and imaging results from any smartphone or computer.
Implementation planning is already underway, and the Epic system is expected to launch at Pointe Coupee General Hospital in late 2026. This partnership is another step in Pointe Coupee General Hospital’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care and keeping our community healthy.
