PCGH Presents Donation to American Heart Association

Jody Drake, Events Specialist for the American Heart Association, and Chad Olinde, CEO

Each year during the month of February is known as American Heart Month. This annual awareness unites millions of people for a common goal: the eradication of heart disease and stroke. Throughout the month, Pointe Coupee General Hospital held multiple initiates to help raise money and support for the American Heart Association.

The AHA funds cardiovascular medical research, educates consumers on healthy living, and fosters appropriate cardiac care in an effort to reduce disability and deaths caused by cardiovascular disease and stroke.

PCGH is proud to announce that through its bake sale, “Wear Red on Fridays” initiative, and sales of bracelets and AHA Red Dress pins, over $1,500 was raised for the American Heart Association.
