About
Dr. Thomas Guillot graduated Tulane University School of Medicine in 1979. Over his more than 30 years of practice, Dr. Guillot has developed dual specialties: he is board-certified in emergency medicine and plastic surgery. He also holds certification in bariatric medicine.
His postgraduate training included residency and fellowship work at Tulane and Ochsner. Specifically, he completed a fellowship in plastic surgery between 1989 and 1991, a residency in plastic surgery between 1987 and 1989, and also training in reconstructive microsurgery. His training also included surgical and pediatrics residencies.
Dr. Guillot is noted for being one of the few surgeons in Louisiana who is board-certified both in plastic surgery and in emergency medicine. Among his scholarly work are publications on body contouring, laser therapy for reducing fat-spots, mesotherapy for cellulite, and thigh girth loss and its relation to breast volume in women.
