Tobacco Cessation Program
Smokers can and do quit smoking. In fact, today there are more former smokers than current smokers.
The Tobacco Cessation Program provides evidence-based tobacco/nicotine cessation counseling services with a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist. The program will provide relevant and accurate information and resources in order for you to make well-informed decisions regarding tobacco use and the treatment for tobacco dependence. The program is FREE to attend.

Walk-in – Visit the Pointe Coupee Homebound Health and Hospice office at 350 Hospital Road, New Roads, Louisiana (part of the Pointe Coupee General Hospital’s Campus)
The counseling sessions will provide:
In-person counseling services with a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist who has received the training to help people quit tobacco
Accurate information and resources regarding tobacco use and the treatment options available
Self-help guidance in preparing for the quit date
Support and encouragement
Assistance with avoiding common problems associated with quitting
A quit plan that is tailored for you
